The position of Software Developer is required to meet ongoing, consistent growth opportunities. Expansion into international markets (UK) is one major area of focus for this position.

Vente is looking for an experienced Cold Fusion/MS SQL Server developer to join our web development team. This challenging position will allow you to work with a dynamic team of professionals in a rapid deployment environment. The position is responsible for coding, configuration and management of data through the use of Cold Fusion, SQL and other associated tools. If you have what it takes, we want to talk to you now! 

The software developer will be responsible for developing, coding, testing and trouble-shooting new complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software.

Primary Job Responsibilities include:
Developing an excellent understanding of the business
Working with technical team and business champions to identify and define technical requirements
Analyze, design, develop and implement various Web applications using Cold Fusion and SQL in a high-availability, large database, enterprise-level environment.
Identify and resolve conflicts arising over the creation, control and use of code.
Study, analyze and evaluate existing systems integration with current database design.
Evaluate application software generated queries and provide consultative solutions to enhance performance.
Meets deadlines while adhering to pre-defined coding standards and methodologies.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of a Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
3+ years work experience with web scripting language ColdFusion 5.x and mastery of MX 7/Coldfusion component methodologies.
Integral knowledge of SQL are required.
Visual Basic, .Net, Flash and Java Script experience are a plus.
Strong communication skills and the ability to share ideas and work well in small teams.
Additional knowledge of web/e-commerce systems, list management, data security, and software design methodologies are a plus.
Strong ability to complete maintenance/upgrade coding projects and reverse engineer existing systems/code. Aptitude for learning applications quickly and solving problems with minimal supervision.
Ability to translate business requirements and requests into technical specifications.
Must work well in small teams and with remote employees, with strong attention to detail.
Ability to quickly identify problems, assess alternatives and apply solutions
